The Communication’s Vice-President’s position is pretty self explanatory; they oversee all communications done by USYers to USYers about USY!! The communications that are currently being used can be separated into three categories: physical communications, visual/online communications, and text/verbal communications. For physical communications, the Comm. VP oversees all flyers that are sent out regionally, helps the Yearbook editors design, organize, and order the yearbook you receive at Regional Convention, and, although it is not officially their job, help order and design chapter and/or regional regalia. As for visual and online communications, the responsibilities can be endless (as long as social networking continues to change and grow) but for now, they include overseeing the CRUSY Facebook group and page, creating regional Facebook events, sending out messages by email, building and administrating the website, overseeing the Twitter, taking pictures to put in the yearbook, and creating the DVD yearbook. Finally, there is verbal and text communications, which include phone and sending text messages out using the CRUSY Schmooze system. In short, the Comm. VP is responsible for a great deal of the behind the scenes work in a USY region.
