Hey CRUSY! I’m Emily Mostow, I’m in BGUSY, and I’m a junior in high school. But before all that, I am Jewish. I, along with the rest of CRUSY, am a continuation of a 4,000-year-long history. My goal this year is that CRUSYites will explore how they fit in to the big picture. At conventions, it might be the high-energy ruach, a spiritual Kabbalat Shabbat service, an eye-opening Heschel discussion, or an interesting alternative service that allow USYers to connect to Judaism. Even outside of conventions, they may connect through an uplifting Pirkei Avot Monday, a thought-provoking pre-shabbos email, or by learning about Judaism on the new Rel/Ed database. This year, I will do my best to ensure that every CRUSYite will find his/her own way to connect to Judaism. If you have questions about REL/ED, Judaism or just want to chat, feel free to call, text, email, or blow a shofar in my direction!
