Fall Boards / Freshman Kinnus
Fondly known as "FBFK", this is the convention that starts the CRUSY year off with a bang. FBFK is a convention for our freshmen, first-time convention participants, and our region's leaders, the members of Chapter Boards across the region. For our freshmen, the weekend is filled with programming made just for them, getting them acquainted with CRUSY conventions and each other, as well as giving everyone a taste of all things CRUSY, from home hospitality to amazing CRUSY Ruach. For the board members, the weekend is filled with leadership training, board meetings for each position, and a large group meeting for the “big decisions” like Tikkun Olam (tzedakah) money allocations.
If you’re on a chapter board (including general board) or if you’ve never been to a CRUSY convention before, this is one you will not want to miss!
Our shortest convention, Fall Kinnus is a snapshot of our region, the perfect opportunity for a taste of CRUSY. Spanning from Friday night to Sunday morning, Fall Kinnus has all the convention essentials: eating, praying, singing, dancing, learning, one night of home hospitality, and a shul-in Saturday night.
Incorporating all of what makes CRUSY special in one weekend, Fall Kinnus is the perfect time for you to connect with old friends and make new ones–all while having an unforgettable time!
USY’s International Convention, commonly referred to as IC, is the largest gathering of Conservative Jewish teens. Held annually over the last full week in December, the convention moves to a different North American city each year and convenes hundreds of Jewish teens from across North America for five days of celebration, new memories, lifelong friendships, Jewish learning, and opportunities to give back to the local community.
Join CRUSY and all of USY’s sixteen spectacular regions for a magical weekend and an opportunity to experience every part of USY!
A first taste of USY, Kadima Kinnus is made for CRUSY's 6th-8th graders. Also attended by chapter presidents and our regional board, Kadima Kinnus teaches middle school students (Kadima'niks) about the wonders of CRUSY.
Our Kadima’niks will spend a weekend in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere with other middle-schoolers from around our region. The weekend will include an exciting Shabbat experience with singing, learning, and socializing, as well as a fun Saturday night social program!
This is the perfect opportunity to get an early taste of USY, all while making new Jewish friends in a safe, friendly, and well supervised environment!
Usually called "Spesh", this early Spring convention is open to 8th-12th graders and focuses on social action and Israel affairs. Throughout the weekend, Jewish teens from around the region come together and volunteer around the city with their friends, participate in interactive Israel programs and games, and have tons of fun! Teens will meet new people and make lifelong friendships through this unique Jewish experience. The weekend will be topped off with a fantastic Saturday night program, including dancing, games, and much more!
Join us for a weekend filled with food, friends, service, and, of course, fun!
Our last convention of the programming year, Regionals usually takes place in the warmth of a camp. We hold elections for our new Regional Board, present awards to exceptional USYers, chapters, and staff, join in Jewish study sessions, and experience CRUSY at its finest. This convention is THE place to reminisce with old friends and meet new ones, make lifelong memories, and bask in the CRUSY magic! Want to see CRUSY at it's core? Regional Convention the place to be!
